Mural of Sanda Dia, Leuven (Belgium)

While walking in the center of Leuven on may 18th 2025, I saw this beautiful mural of Sanda Dia: a  university student who died on december 7th 2018 during extreme baptism rituals of the student association 'Reuzegom'.

His death was a huge scandal, with 18 of the student club members ultimately brought to trial.

Eventually they were all only sentenced to community service and fines.

The mural itself is a tribute to Sanda Dia by the German artist Case Maclaim.
